Simple, stunning, sellable finishes are the stock-in-trade of a successful decorative artist. You know, those live-able, loveable, affordable, do-able surface treatments that just work - or play - well with any design esthetic or taste, from contemporary, traditional, old world, outer space - and beyond!
Beyond...well, sometimes a space deserves a little bit of focus or personality; a bold statement, a whisper of whimsy - a stoke of genius! A simple switch of color, additional layers of pattern and design, and/or the pop of embellishments can take the sublime to the supreme.
In this 3-day class, students will produce 18 design samples, including 6 beautiful basic 2-3 step finishes, and 12 take-it-further graphic options to appeal to your discerning clients and designers. Products used include Silver Label standbys (LusterStone – of course! – PaletteDeco; Venetian Gem; Softex; AquaCrackle: MetalGlow), Gold Label winners (rsSandStone Flake, O’Villa Sabina), and the newest versatile star from the Alchemy collection: Luna. Liz and Karen are hard pressed to leave a session without embedding crystal gems, mirror bits, specialty papers or foils…and never without sprinkling some magic glitter!
